I have clean water

When I stop to think about the privileges I have, it almost moves me to tears. There are so many things that I do every day that I take for granted. There are abilities that I possess but don’t use that many others have had taken away or were born without. In addition, society has placed me in unique spaces because of my gender, my appearance, my socioeconomic class, and my education. All of these things I forget from time to time. And then I reach a moment of awakening. That moment came again today as I participated in the 2010 Willamette MLK Pledge Walk. Continue reading
